It's too bad that my grandmother did know about this Plasti-Dip stuff. Instead of putting a plastic cover over her sofa, she could have just dipped the whole thing !

When I grew up, it would have been the sofa, the rugs, lamp shades, etc. Sounds like we came from the same 'hood.

Thx for the picture -- it brings back a lot of memories and it's also a great picture of your folks (or grandparents?).

The photo must have been taken at some special occassion because no one was allowed into the "parlor" except at those times. Ed

Ed,
That's right -- the only one who would go into the "parlor" in my folk's house was my mother -- and only to dust everything! I passed through a few times (walking on a plastic rug runner, of course) but never allowed to sit on that uncomfortable, gaudy looking furniture that really belongs in a museum and not a living room!!
