Cat delete

Ive heard that if you delete your CAT'S you will get the engine light from the rear o2 sensors. Is that true? If so what can you do, to not get the engine light.

I typed in the title of your thread (Cat Delete) in the Search and came up with this, among others:

http://www.986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23914&highlight=cat+delete

Try it out and see what you find, you might find your answer before getting another reply to this thread.

You can delete the secondary cats on a 2.7 and 3.2 engine without triggering a CEL .

The 2.5 has only one set of cats that are located "mid-stream". Therefore, they can't be removed without triggering a CEL. The only way to eliminate this problem would be to re-map the ecu in order for the vehicle's DME to disregard the change in emissions . Also, going catless isn't necessarily the best choice as far as performance conern. But, that's another discussion .

I'd like to delete my secondary cats on my S. Where can I get the replacement pipes for a reasonable price ?
