'01 2.7 w/33k oil light on at idle, 8psi@idle 40psi@5k

Like title says. Just bought the car, knew it needed work. Drives perfect, no check engine light, no noises. Pulled sump pan, everything looks clean. Pulled filter, no debris in paper part but VERY minor sparkle on bottom of filter housing, thought that might have built up over 30k since techs might not always clean out filter housing but just install the new filter. Did try a new oil pressure sender then hooked up a manual gauge and saw that cold engine idle pressure was 12psi and drops down to 8 when warm, just enough to kick off the warning light at idle. Symptoms didn't seem to match the IMS which I read all about. I've tried a thicker oil, same thing. I was going to go after the oil pump next and see if I could replace or modify to get pressure higher and if I have no luck then I guess some lubricated part inside engine must be worn and letting oil pressure out. Did a fair amount of searching and only found one other post where guy said new oil/air separator fixed his oil light but he did not test pressure. I have a new separator that I am going to install since it seems like a good idea but can't imagine it fixing an oil pressure problem. Any thoughts, ideas, or info is appreciated. Oh and if anyone knows details on how to get another key without going to dealer that would be cool too, thanks!

Take the oil filler cap off, if the low oil pressure light goes off, then its likely the aos, but i would check pressure manually again. Whats the spec for oil pressure at idle?
