CEL reset for emission

CEL for MAF has been on and going to replace it today, how long will it take to turn off so I can get my emissions done or can I just clear and it be good for emissions deadline is coming up in couple of days so need it done asap

The CEL should go out after a couple of hours of driving... it has to do with the engine time to allow the electronics to recalibrate the system. So it's all about running the car to give it time to get back to normal.

I think you can also go to an Autozone and have them clear out your fault codes... not terribly positive on that one. I know a dealer can do it with a PST2 tool.
