[QUOTE=Burg Boxster]is the button still on the glass itself? If so, the stem as I recall is attached to it by putting on and then turning 90 degrees clockwise to lock into correct position (you will need pliers to do so and make sure you protect the finish w/ some towels, etc.).

[/Thanks so much. Yess the button is still on the glass. I was able to turn it about 75 degrees by hand but was worried about cranking it more. So I will use pliers and a cloth to do that. Any idea then on how to attach the mirror to that..just push real hard..?? Thanks again
