Code P0102 ?

Sorry if I am perseverating on this issue, but before I spend $200-300 on a new MAF sensor, has anyone else dealt with this code before. The reason for my concern is, after inspecting and sensor it appeared to be as clean as a whistle with no signs of dirt or contamination (i did clean it nevertheless) . Also, as far as I could tell, the plug harness and wires seemed ok as well . Do MAF sensors simply have a self life to them (I have an '02 S with only 18k original miles), because I am experiencing a rough idle ?

If you have a Durametric tool, you can check the actual value of the MAF sensor (with ignition on) voltage -- it should be 0.9 to 1.1 volts. With ignition on, and engine idling (and warmed up), it should be between 1.2 to 1.5 volts.
