Deep Pockets and Big Balls!!

Get the 4.0L engine from flat 6 innovations if your wallet permits. You're probably going to have to get more than just a new transmission with 440 bhp minimum.

Best in what aspect?

And what is your wallet size? Your experience? Looking for a turnkey solution? The condition of your current engine (so we can see if a trade up would help the $)?

Best...heck I'll bet Jake would engineer a custom 4.0 with some sort of blower on it but it would probably cost you what a new Boxster S would cost.

Or there are the 3.x 996 do-it-yourself swaps.

And lots in between.

If you are trying to change transmissions, it may be better $ to change cars.

Real performance at elevated levels costs more money than its worth in some instances.. Carried out incorrectly it can lead to a problematic car filled with gremlins, check engine lights and issues.

Approach this with care and understand that bigger isn't always better and there is more to an engine than its net HP output. The big picture isn't always seen by those wearing blinders.
