The primary cushion between your car & the road is the sidewall of your tire. Measure the sidewall of your 18" & the 19" to see what you will be missing. I can't advise on 19" fitment because you couldn't give me a set of 19" to put on my car, it is so much more fun to drive with 17" than 18"
