Radio question - CR220 swap for CDR220?

Want to know if I can swap out the CR 220 in my Boxster S with a CDR 220 or CDR 210 without any wiring changes --- does the CDR220 or CDR210 use the same plugs as the CR 2210??? thanks

The wiring is the same for both models. If you want aux-in then you should stay with the 220 because the older 210 does not have it.

you definitely want the aux-in if you plan to add MP3 hardrive device or Plug and Play Sattelite Radio Receiver.
Becker makes a jack$20 that will allow you play the music thru AUX mode and bypass transmiting MP3 and Satt. thru the FM channels. Much better sound in Aux mode.
If you are really condsidering Sattelite I would suggest getting an in-dash CD Alpine headunit with Sattelite capability built in. The ALpine unit has got to be cheaper than the CD220 and with Sattelite Capablitiy built in you don't have to worry about getting the dreaded alternator whine common with powering audio devices through the cigarette lighter .
