Question flat spot at about 4500rpm on my 99 boxster? any ideas???

got a flat spot at around 4500rpm under hard acc, any other speed/rpm is fine but its driving me mad? has anyone got any ideas as to what it could be? heard low oil pressure could be it but not sure. thanks. dave

I had the same thing at about 5K and it was the MAF Sensor. Very easy DIY fix. I got mine from GoSpecRacing for about 190.00. Good luck. Bill
