996tt2002 Registered User Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Tampa Posts: 23	Is This The Beginning Of IMS Failure??? 1998 Boxster, 26,XXX miles, not started for about 3-4 weeks. Upon startup there is a metallic sound for about 1 sec, very short. Oil just changed about 2 months ago and about 60 miles put on the car. Oil was Mobil 1. Tiptronic trans. No smoke on startup. Belongs to my sister and I have thought about buying it because she bought it new and I know the history. Any insight would be appreciated. Rob C., Tampa
