Porsche Aftermarket Warranty

My Boxster is an '01 with 34k original miles on it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can obtain a god aftermarket warranty? One that will cover the engine? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes...say 10 Hail Marys before you start your car.

Yes, a Porsche dealer. I had one for a few month's. I was paying over $200 a month. used it once for the AC. first they said they wouldn't cover the repair if it was just the freon. I told them if that was the case then I was cancelling the coverage. Came back, picked up the car they said they had to replace a blower motor and recharge the sytem so everything was covered.

They are always going to do everything they can to get out of the coverage. Just keep that in mind. Not saying, its a bad idea to have a warranty. I had full coverage on the engine, drive train, ac, suspension, etc. also You will never get a warranty that covers Brake rotors, pads, clutch, etc. These are considered normal wear items and is the owners responsibilty.

Also, the maintenance intervals are not covered either. Your responsibilty.

That's about all I can tell you. You have make a choice, whether you think its worth it or not.

The genuine Porsche aftermarket warranty is as good as their original new car warranty BUT here in Australia, Porsche will not warrant a car that is more than 9 years old - no matter what the mileage.... So my 2001 Boxster S is not covered.
Maybe it's a different policy in the US, but we are on our own here if you drive an old (?) Porsche !!

Crikey, I just noticed that's an 01 with 34K. that's less than 4K miles a year.
although its possible it could have been driven everyday 10 miles round trip for 9 years . LOL.
