997 seats in

Just thought i'd put a few pics of the 997 seats in the car

If your wondering why the drivers seat is so high it's because my wife's 4' 11" tall

They look very nice; I've always liked that design. However, they both appear to be quite high, as they're taller than the rollover hoops.

Is this the way they mount or do you have them on spacers?

no spacers, that's how they are, but! i did higher the passenger side a touch just to take the eye off the fact that my wife needs them sooooo high.

I think i had a great deal on them, i paid £726 for them including the 997 door cards WITH the Bose package, rear cards with Bose speakers that look like they are a direct replacement for the dash top speakers and leather rear seats, so you're looking at around $1000 total.

Be warned though!!! watch out for memory seat on the driver side, almost impossible to wire up! i took feeds of the passenger side to set the seat in position. The wiring is nearly all the same until you get to the main switches,(and the memory module) it's so complex you really need to buy the switches for a none memory full electric seat like the passenger side.

They feel GREAT!!! really hug you.

Cool, and I have the 987 style shift knob in my 986. Who else here has created a FrankenBoxster?

Seriously though, that's a nice touch. Good job.

Cool!
I just picked up a set of 986 'Sports' seats for £300 so if I get more than that for my
old one, I'll be laughing!
What's next? Climate? A centre console? 3-spoke steering wheel?

Looking good

defo on the steering wheel, may go for a double din center console but i kinda like the uncramped feel that not having one there gives you.

I've just got a new hood to put on with glass upgrade but i'm as scared as hell to start fitting it

And i want to find a trashed second hand door to see if i can get the 997 door cards to fit, now that WILL be a challenge!!
