suspension question

for anyone who has driven the spyder anniversary 2004, can i mimic that suspension on a 2001 non s? i test drove the anniversary edition before i bought the 2001 but it was just a little more than i wanted to spend, i do notice the ride was much smoother than what i have now. thank you

What exactly do you mean by "smoother"? I would think the 2004 anniversary would have a slightly 'stiffer' suspension than a stock regular Boxster - no?

The parts could surely be purchased to duplicate the 'ride'.

but the bumps felt softer, not like i was in a cadillac but close to it

I may be wrong on this but I thought the edition had either the ROW MO30 or PSS9 suspension which would be stiffer.

According to this:

it used the m030 suspension. Harder springs and higher damping struts. With the 18" wheels, this car should be pretty stiff and bumpy over uneven surfaces, but great handling in the corners.

Maybe your tires have stiffer sidewalls than what were on the 550 that you drove.

i can't remember his exact model but they were conti's and i have conti's on mine too hmmmmm
