"As far as using this thread for the benefit of my company:
Some people deny that any issue occurs and they don't want anyone to tell them that there is anything that is ever going to happen to their engine. The last person they want to remind them of these things is one of the guys that is heading up the development of the engines."

Sorry - but I didn't know you were a team member in the development of the M96 engine. Thanks for that information.

P.S. I think part of the problem is your advertisements...tick..tick..BOOM! When you evoke fear the outcome is uncertain.

Yes I did make that bet about 20 lifters being bad, but unfortunately the poster never took me up on the wager.

I should clarify that I certainly was not part of the development team that created the M96, but I am part of the team that has worked to re-develop it.

Time will tell that the lifter issues are a reality. More shops will see them and be able to diagnose them as the amount of shops being FORCED to work with these engines internally has dramatically increased with the bad economy. They have to do the work because people can't afford to swap the engines out.

The tick, tick boom ad was done as a way to grab some attention.. That ad has ran its course and the new ad starts next cycle with Excellence, you'll like it alot :-)
