Nobody seemed interested until yesterday so I hadn't provided feedback. It is by far the best modification I have made so far (compared to springs, sway bars, engine stuff, etc) as the rear end has a new level of grip. I autocross quite frequently and it has made a huge difference. I now have a tremendous amount of grip when accelerating out of corners or taking "long" curves where I would get the rear to lose traction before the TBD.

I don't push the limits of traction on the street (other than an agressive launch here and there) but I can say that I don't notice it when driving on the street.

The install was about $550? Who did the work? I'm not sure about the Boxster, but LSD installs require a lot of labor and work on other cars. The transaxle has to be removed and completely disassembled so $550 seems low.

I did a lot of LSD in the 60's, and I can tell you that $550 is a lot of money for the stuff.

If you do some searching on some of the Cayman sites you will find that this is in line with their estimates as well. The TBD was installed with the transmission still in the car but yes, the transaxle had to be removed and disassembled.

At the time, the LSD cost ~$1400 and the install cost $550 or so.
