Brake pads, which do you like?

Anyone tried these PBR/Axxis Ultimate pads? Pagid seems to be polular but 400-plus for pads is a bit much for me. Feel free to post your experiences!!

My mechanic told me to buy Textar brand pads when I asked which kind is best and which I should buy to give to him for my car.

He said this company is an old German company who's been making Porsche replacement pads that are far better and cheaper than Porsche OEM pads.

He also said they squeak less than OEM pads.

Now this may well spark a debate as there's a bunch on the market and like tires, everyone has a preference. I just liked the fact that these pads did not seem to cost me a bundle. I think I got all four wheels covered for less than $200.00 including shipping.

[QUOTE=Fletcher]Anyone tried these PBR/Axxis Ultimate pads?QUOTE]

I put these on my 2000 box with Zimmerman rotors about a month ago. prior to that i had stock pads and rotors. i am not a big mechanic like some of our members but i like these Axxis pads. i had my shop install everything, and as i was driving out of the shop, i thought to myself, "these are really crappy", it felt really bad. but then after about 25 miles, it rocked! i think it might have been cuz of the fluid bleeding or something. i'd say you try them. i got mine on ebay for $125.00 for all for wheels. :dance: :dance:
