Steve,

I attended a PCA meeting last week at Musante Motors in Connecticut. They did a presentation on ECU flashing.

This is what I discovered:

ECO Flashing works well on Turbo cars. This is because you can increase the turbo boost. They had a 996 Turbo which indicated and increase of 75 HP on the dyno.

I asked the owner of Musante what affect flashing has on normally aspirated cars and he said mid range power will have a slight increase 5-7 HP, but overall HP does not increase.
