99 Boxster Open Hood

Hi Everyone,
I desperately need some help. I took the battery out of the car for the winter and now need to pop the hood to put the battery back. There is NO power in the car, and NO red pin in the fuse panel. I even tried by passing it through the wheel well on the drivers side, but no success. Thanks so much for all your help.
