The 2003-2004 muffler mounts like a 2000-2002 muffler.
When I have asked in the past why people want to do this, they say because a 2003-2004 muffler sounds better than a 2000-2002 muffler. I have not noticed any sound difference, but maybe it is me. The only change I noticed is that the 2003-2004 muffler has a removeable tip, so Porsche did not have to stock 2 mufflers.
