Porsche Sport Exhaust Questions..........

Can anyone let me know what PSE this is and part #?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SjNXH0gKCg4&feature=related

I am wondering if it will fit my 99 Boxster? I think it shld as it states this is on a 200 model. I want a PSE without the Sebring tips as I have the rear diffuser and the PSE with the sebring tips won't work. Plus I like the look of this one.

I looked into the PSE at Suncoast Motorsports, but it sez it will only fit 2002+ Boxsters. Is this true or can it be modified to fit my 00 Boxster? Just want to make sure I have the correct one and it will fit or can be modified to fit before spending the money.

Thanks in advance!

It is the 2003-2004 factory sport exhaust, with Fabspeed bypass pipes, on a 2000 S.

If you want to put that exhaust or the prior version of the factory sport exhaust on a 1997-1999 2.5 then you need a mounting adapter.

Thanks Tool Pants. So just to make sure............

The Sport Exhaust that I want (no sebring tips) & can be modified to fit my 99 Boxster is this one offered by Suncoast Motorsports below:

http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=00004420020&Category_Code=986exhaust

With the 2.5L exhaust mounting kit from the PSE Sebring Exhaust for $120???

Just want to be sure.

PS If that is your Boxster with the PSE in the video link from my previous message, it sounds awesome!!!

Thanks in advance!

The car on youtube belongs to Rodger Boles. He was posting last year on Renntech.org about the 2003-2004 sport exhaust and the bypass pipes, for his 2000 S.

The Suncoast link shows the 996 sport exhaust. When Porsche announced the 2003-2004 sport exhaust Porsche did not have a picture of the Boxster sport exhaust, so a 996 picture was used. We all had a good laugh back then. Still using a 996 picture after all these years.

To mount the orginal sport exhaust (with the Sebring pipes) on a 1997-1999 you needed the adapter. Since the 2003-2004 exhaust mounts like the original version, you must also need the adapter for your 1999.

That thing is expensive. Cost about 10% of the value of a 2.5....

Smile Thanks Tool Pants!!

Appreciate the help! Yeah, getting rid of my GHL exhaust. After 2 years, it is taxing on long drives ie) 3 hours +. So wanted something that sounds awesome, but no resonance. Thx again!

Added a Billy Boat exhaust to my 99 boxster last year. Sounds better than great but drives the wife nuts. Makes the car sound way faster than it is. Would highly recommend it.
