So far so good. It has been 4 days since I added about a pint of distilled water and so far no leak. The levels are fine. Next time I go for service, I will have it checked.

Joe,

Same here. Since I added the cup no more flashing light. I guess the sensor is really sensitive...

Well, bought my new overflow tank and cap today for 260.00. Luckily with my "car biz" discount, I was able to get oem. My local dealer had them in stock. Car is going to my guys tomorrow. Probably looking at 2 to 3 hours labor to install and flush coolant with new.

I will update as we go!

I had the same issue as Maxferran, after driving it hard the coolant would spew all over the ground. I flushed the system and changed the thermostat, since then (1month) there've been no problems and everything is running smoothly with no flashing lights.

If you're filling the tank, 98 times out of a hundred you've got a leak. Mine hid itself by only leaking some of the time, confusing since I could drive it for days without losing a drop, then, out of nowhere, the tank would be half empty. The crack mine leaked out of was in the seam and as far as I can tell only sparated during rough city start/stop driving conditions. In addition, the water pump leaked which was caught in the underbelly tray. This of course hid itself very well. A bad water pump usually shows it's wear by the noise (rattles) it makes when it's just about done.

I started a thread on my "nightmare" here

All is well,, knock on wood. The tank was replaced. I had to bleed the system a few times extensively following porsches filling proceedure. I asked the shop to change all the coolant at the time they did the tank. Large air pockets were in the system and kept sucking coolant until I finally got it full.
