Hmm, seatbelt/battery question
Hey all, I'm in the middle of replacing the seatbelt buckles and wiring. It's going pretty well, but I had a question. I unplugged the battery in order to do everything. Now I'm wondering if I can plug the battery back in with both seats still disconnected and not get some huge error (or an airbag deployment).
I just need to close the top all the way, anyone know if powering up the car now with both seats still out is giong to be a big mistake? -David |
Dammit, I decide to play it safe and stick the seats in before turning it on. And the metal seat rail scratches the inside-door paint on the way in
Can't I save even a little money without doing damage? *sigh* Anyone know of a good way to touch up thin little gouges that go straight to the metal? -David |
Why did you remove the seats?

Too late for you.
But if we need to turn the ignition on when a seat is out I put the seat on the ground next to the door sill and plug it in. Then turn the ignition on. With a seat disconnect and the ignition on you will get an air bag light. |
