Will any shop buy your old engine in a swap?

I would not mind doing an engine swap, if there was a shop that would give credit for the 8-10,000$ S motor that will be coming out of my car. If there a shop that will give a core credit? What do you do with the old motor? My motor has 35K miles and has never given me a lick of trouble.

Jhandy, some places, like RUF, in your great State of Texas, do core exchanges for the engine swap. If you want to keep the engine, it costs about $5K more.

So, yes they give you "credit" for your engine...but not $8-10K worth.
