But he didn't do a dyno on it...
I had Supersprint on my previous car, the BMW M Coupe. It sounded awesome. I did a dyno run but the 2 runs were months apart and the after run actually showed a bhp decrease??!! Guys in the BMW forum then were saying that you can't accurately dyno a BMW M car as the ECU adapts to the way you drive and hence, power varies accordingly. So if you drove gentle before the dyno run, the dyno will show less bhp. If you drove aggressive before the run, the dyno will show more bhp. It sounded rather unconvincing to me but this was from some guys that were pretty credible in the forum.
Anyway, my second dyno run was also above my mileage for a valve clearance service. Hence, if the tappet were out of alignment, the engine would've lost power.
But what the hell, it sounded awesome then and it sure turned heads everywhere I went
