I've heard that none of the exhausts offer any more hp and that some even lose a little hp. Personally, I figure it's all zero and comes down to what sound you want. A "Fabspeed" Dansk for $627 sounds like a smokin' deal. I wish I could hear all of the different exhausts in person as I would like to bump up the db's a little too.

One name I haven't heard mentioned too much in the Boxster world is Supersprint. They have a great reputation in other circles. They have a dual can system for the Boxster. Does anybody have any experience with Supersprint?

I searched their site before and they seem to have a quality product. I haven't heard any testimonials though.

Ok - you did dynos and used Gunther, I'm believe you.

I was supposing this was another Butt dyno claim, and I get so tired of folks who say they got 21HP out of muffler X on a Boxster.

There was this guy on automotiveforum.com that said he had 220+ whp on his 2.5L and the only thing he said he had done was an evo intake. lol There was another fun chap that claimed he had 326whp on his 3.2L with bolt-ons and ecu. I got alittle suspicious when he called his car "boxter s."

Someone had it installed and posted a thread here : http://www.986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=579&highlight=supersprint

But he didn't do a dyno on it...

I had Supersprint on my previous car, the BMW M Coupe. It sounded awesome. I did a dyno run but the 2 runs were months apart and the after run actually showed a bhp decrease??!! Guys in the BMW forum then were saying that you can't accurately dyno a BMW M car as the ECU adapts to the way you drive and hence, power varies accordingly. So if you drove gentle before the dyno run, the dyno will show less bhp. If you drove aggressive before the run, the dyno will show more bhp. It sounded rather unconvincing to me but this was from some guys that were pretty credible in the forum.

Anyway, my second dyno run was also above my mileage for a valve clearance service. Hence, if the tappet were out of alignment, the engine would've lost power.

But what the hell, it sounded awesome then and it sure turned heads everywhere I went

yeah I spoke to my shop guy and his Dyno should be operational by mid January. Yeah the last seveal runs we did on my 986 2.7(jaunuary or febuary 2004) put the HP at about 240-243 HP at the wheels. working out to just under 290 hp at the crank when multiplied by 1.19
We have had significant increases(2-15 hp increases)when trying out the different exhaust setups. But again I have done many other upgrades so it is tough to say exactly how much I gained from each muffler. With the RUF I will say I am seeing my biggest gains.
