How to set radio station presets -missing radio manual

Newbie here, and new Boxster owner, new to me, but it's a '97. I have a stereo question. I'm missing my radios manual, and can't figure out how to set the radio station presets. I thought I could just hold down the numbered buttons and it would set it to that number, but it doesn't seem to work that way. Does anyone know how this is done? Seems like a dumb question. I have the factory remote disc changer setup, and the head has a cassette player built in as well. Hope that helps to ID the unit.
Thanks for the help......this forum has helped me to figure out the car a lot.

If its a CR 220 or CD 220 you set the desired station with the right knob and
hold in the desired button until it saves the radio station.

Any other radio, you may need to find the manual online in PDF form.

Good luck!

Michael,

This might help :

http://www.beckerautosound.com/Porsche/Porsche%20Menu.html

Just cllick on your model and it will bring up a link to the owners manual.

Hope this helps...
