Cool Convert the real fog lamps and the brake light position into a running light

Hi to everyone!

I´m new to the 986 forum.

Right from the start I have a question.

I want to transmorgrify the tail lights of my 2001 Boxster S a little bit more 987-like by converting the fog light and the brake light position into a running light.

To maintain the fog and brake light function you could replace the P21W into a P21/5W bulb.
If you remove the upper pin with a file, the new bulb will fit into the existing frame.

But how do you proceed?

Has anyone already done this conversions?

Cheers, Stephen

I don't know of any one who has done that one. I do know it is possible to make the rear fog lights light when the brakes are pressed.

There are led tail lights that have a 987ish look to them, they are availible on some auction site.

Good luck.

Growing up the car magazines said how amazing Porsches are. Was I brainwashed? Somehow...I doubt it.
