Jt,

I just had my car in the dealer for its first annual service. I receive a few interesting facts relative to your question from the service manager:
1) Adding performance intakes, such as K&N, etc, will not void the warranty.
2) Adding performance intakes and performance ("free-flow") exhausts will not increase performance. They may add hp and torque increase; however, due to the DME programming, the car will "re-tune" itself and adjust to the air flows and back pressure changes. Bottom line -- to get more performance, one would have to change the DME or have them re-programmed.

Of course, perhaps the best and most important benifit of the mentioned goodies -- improved SOUNDS and LOOKS!!!!!
