B&B Exhaust Install

So, I bit the bullet and installed a cat-back exhaust. I chose a B&B for a few reasons:

1) Reputable company that has been around a while and I like the results I have heard/seen on 911's
2) Vistited their website and liked the look/description of their product

but mostly,

3) found a guy on ebay who was local, put this exhaust on his boxster and didn't like it, so I got it for less than half the cost of a new one.

My Impressions:

Sound is definitely improved and confirmed by my Pcar buddy. It really frees up the sounds so the flat 6 that has been killed by the stock exhaust. There is no resonance and a nice throaty sound on acceleration and an addictive gurgle on deceleration .

Doesn't feel any faster, but has a little more response especially from a dead stop. I definitely find myself revving out the motor a little more than before and the sound is greatly improved in the 2200k-3000k range and then then the induction sounds begin to take over.

I weighed it 3 times and it came out 8-10 pounds lighter than stock.

It was kind of a pain to install and I did have to remove the bumper to get to the main hanger bolts above the exhaust. I think I could do a much better job on the next removal/install after doing it once.

Anyway, I have some install/after pics and videos below.

Wonderful work on the videos. Anytime I do something to my car, I try to get before & after pix or vids. It's great for documentation as well as comparisons. Plus, the kids on the forums love it!

Your back window was in dire need of "the chop" as you were putting the top down.

Thanks for the feedback.

The more I drive it, the more I like it.

I definitely had the "chop" in mind as I put the top down, but was so excited about the new exhaust, I just thought, "forget it this time".

As far as droning at highway speed compared to stock there is a slight hum mostly at 2600k-3000k. It is slight and I really like it. I could drive it for a long trip with no worries at all especially with the top down as the wind noise cuts most of it out anyway. It is not what I could call resonance at all.

Well made and good looking unit from B&B.
