F1 Coverage on Speed TV - Complain here

FEEDBACKSPEED - The Motor Sports Authority

In case you missed it, the programming people at Speed decided to show a soccer game rather than the post race interviews where Maldonado won his first F1 race, Alonzo almost had him for a while, and Raikkonen made a career come-back in third.

It has been all down hill since the SpeedVision days, but this is a new low.

And what's with blacking out the practise sessions in Canada? I usually watch it on TSN/TSN2 lately.

Um, why would there be a soccer game on Speed anyway?

I'm not really a Maldonaldo fan since he took that poke at Hamilton a while back(My jaw was on the floor when I saw that), but ya gotta smile for the guy, especially after Australia.

it's an interesting season so far. Not the usual Red Bull domination.

In TV land, viewers = coverage. Nothing more, nothing less. This is why some people call Speed TV the "NASCAR Channel". The generally poor coverage of F1 is simply a reflection of the low viewership here in the US.

I think that once the US has an F1 race (either NJ or Austin -or both!), then the level of interest in F1 will rise and the coverage will expand and improve.
