talk me out of it

so i like road trips. a couple of times a year i drive from MD to TX. already done one. in a couple of months i'll be driving to CO.

anyway, every 2 years there's a family reunion in different locations. this year's reunion is in california.

looking at the costs vs. flying, i figure another $200 to drive instead of fly. i hate flying. HATE it. and the thought of spending 10 hours traveling is not appealing.

however, i figure i can drive there (even though it's a 4.5 day trip each way) and have a lot more fun.

so what do you have? why should i not do it?

Be careful, you might just love it. My dad took a road trip in his Rx-7 from Minnesota and met up with us in Disneyland in 1984, never having driven through the western states before. Within months we were living in Denver.

Go for it in the Boxcar. See more things, you will NOT be flying plus you will have the joy of driving your favorite car. Just beware of the jack wagons that will want to challenge you on your journey. Otherwise, go and enjoy. Also take some good pics along the way so as to prove you did it and photos always stand up good in court.

AKL

Never mind the film, I have the extra ammo and magazines!
