First Porsche, finally took the plunge!

Had been looking for a fun/project car for a while now and finally bit the bullet! 2003 Boxster S in Lago Green (dark teal) with the Tiptronic, leggy example at 111k miles but in eally great shape for its age/usage.

Have had it a couple of weeks and done a couple of hundred miles already, starting to build the list of things that need doing and looking forward to testing/expanding my mechanical skills and knowledge. Looking forward to the experience and no doubt will call on this forum for advice!

So far on the investigation/fix list:

- Key fob drains battery in less than 24 hours, works with the car fine with a new battery but dead super quickly. Have seen some fixes on here suggesting soldering the battery connectors so will look in to that.

- Power adjusting mirrors work on the nearside but not offside, will investigate if it's just a switch needing replacing.

- Couple of the interior vent adjusters have been pushed in/broken so will look to replace.

- Cover for the roof doesn't close all the way down when the roof is retracted, sticks up about a centimetre. Sits flush when the roof is up so must be something not stowing properly.

- I think the car originally didn’t have the ‘Boxster S’ badge on the back, and a previous owner bought a cheap chrome one which I think I’ll either remove or replace.

Other than those relatively minor things I'm loving it!

Looks like a good start, not much to do and most importantly you can still drive and enjoy.
