Not my first Porsche, and may not be my last, but it was the least of two evils. I've been riding motorcycles since 1963, when I turned 16, and with the exception of a couple of overseas assignments during my 20 years in the Navy, I've always had a motorcycle, including to the present day. That being said, I've had cars and trucks as well, including a number of sports cars. From a Porsche powered VW Bug, Austin Healey Sprite, MGA 1600, Fiat 128 Sport Coupe, a Cayenne Turbo, and a Venza XLE, which is a well performing crossover. Motorcycles have ranged from a 50cc Honda when I was 16, to Harley-Davidson and Yamaha touring bikes as of late. There have been major changes over the years that make riding motorcycles these days more dangerous than ever. Supposed self-driving cars, and trucks coupled with drivers who are inattentive compound the dangers of riding motorcycles, so when a clean 2002 Boxster S came on the market, it wasn't a difficult decision. Besides, it wouldn't set well with all the children of the world if Santa got run over riding a motorcycle. And so, here I am ..
