New here. In the process of buying my first 986!
Hey everyone,
Once the PPI goes through I'll be a part of the family! It's an 01 S with 94k kms and forest green paint. Buying for my cross-canada roadtrip in august and to keep long term. I've owned all sorts of cars, ranging from my first (Lexus SC400) to current (WRX) but nothing has made me smile like I was on my test drive. Revving out that flat six had me so giddy! Looking forward to interacting with you all in the coming years.

Welcome to the forum and Boxster ownership. Always great to see another Canadian join the club. Where are you going on your trip? Since all roads to Western Canada have to go through Winnipeg maybe we’ll see you flying through.

Not totally sure yet! I'll probably follow the 1 for most of the way, and zip through the flat parts in the middle as quick as possible

LOL, yes, the part from the Ontario border to just west of Calgary is so flat you could roll a marble the entire distance.

Welp, turns out the seller was a POS and sold it to someone else the day before I was supposed to buy it. Even though I had a deposit and PPI. Time to keep looking I suppose

Back when I was looking in 2013/14 I was about to give up since nothing was available that fit my wants and needs. Then one last look in Autotrader and I found the exact car I was looking for. And it was right in my neighbourhood. So keep looking and something will come up.

Oh man! That sucks. Don't get disheartened. Like Paulofto said, something will come up.
