Welcome to the forum. My 1st car was a 1971 Firebird Formula with a transplanted 455.

I bought my 2000 Boxster s in 2003 & took the Porsche Driving Experience course soon after.

Going from 400 ft.Lbs. to 225 is a bit of a letdown so I rebuilt my engine to 3.6 literes

Mine was a neutered 350 two-barrel, but it was gorgeous! I just looked up a picture of one (Martinique blue) and - wow. It was nicer than I even remembered. Not the car to give to a 16-year-old - I destroyed it doing something dumb on the street, I would love to have it back.

The 2.5 is entirely torque-free at the bottom end. I take that as an invitation to keep it near redline and singing Porsche songs.

Your car is beautiful, man!
