Consider the Fister exhaust mod.

I have the base model with the 2.7l. I removed the second set of cats and put some cheap cat delete pipes and had the exhaust modded by Fister in California. I think I paid 600 for the mod and 150 for the cat delete pipes. No drone, not too loud but you can easily make noise when you want to. Has a lovely crackle and pop on overrun.
I think you can mod the muffler with a bypass like it for much cheaper, aka the Pedro mod.
