Short shifter

What the opinion of changing to a short shifter and which on to buy? Plus there a shifter boot that is recommended?

If you decide to get a short shifter I recommend replacing the shift cable ends. Mine were shot on my 98 Boxster.

For me it was night and day. Don't really know how to articulate the experience but feels like shifting into a slotted gate. If that makes any sense.
