Introduction

Hi ...I'm a new member and just purchased a 2001 Boxster, base model.
I love this site, very helpful.
Question: There is a video on YouTube where a fellow installed 20mm spacers on his rear wheels...the car appears stock, as is mine. The look is perfect but i would like to receive confirmation that the 20mm spacers fit without problems....
Thanks...Gerry from Montreal.

Hi Gerry from Montreal! Welcome to the forum.

If you have stock wheels (or at least stock offsets), 20 mm spacers are no problem, both front and rear. That is what I have on my car.

If you have the stock wheel bolts, you'll also need 20 mm longer bolts.

I've always thought that the front track on our Boxsters is too narrow, so I put 20 mm spacers on the front, and loved how much better the car looks. It also has improved the steering feel as well, which is a nice bonus. I then put 20 mm spacers on the rear, but thought the rear track was just slightly too wide, so I ended up getting 15 mm for the rear. In my eyes it looks great.

Just as a reference, I have the stock 17" turbo twist wheels.

Hi Gerry! Welcome!

I'm running stock 16s... and installed 20 on the rear... 15 on the front. ECS sells the kits, and I'm satisfied with the product.

I'm actually looking for a trade: my 20s for 23s. I think the 23s would give the rear a slightly more agressive stance, without compromising the rear components (stress, etc.).

Or... if someone wants to trade a pair of 23s for 15s... I'd be all in.

Pics, Gerry?
