Greetings from Istanbul

Hi and greetings from Istanbul,

I am an 52 years old Porsche enthusiast mostly on restoring vintage 911s. I am a long time reader of the forum and wanted to intruduce my self before asking questions

I bought my first 986 at 2010 as a birhtday present to my ex-wife and lost it through the reimbursement tribulances .

986 was on my mind eversince. The car was an 1999 standart 2.5 triptronic boxster 52000 miles . I had no problems except the waterpump

Last week I saw the car at an industrial area , it was burnt somehow. some mechanic bought it for restauriation

Gahh top and aftermarket taillights were still present

Last year I found an original techart widebody 3.2 and immediately purchased to my nephew .Picture taken after paint correction .I could not stop myself and done it .

I am back for reading the useful forums to figure out the differences 2.5 manual to 3.2 triptronics. The prices are very high here due to customs and the source is limited .

I would like to ask questions to this issue if I can not find the answers
Best Regards
Tamer

aftermarket parts for what? motor? suspension? interior? brakes? accessories?

the aftermarket is big and I think you will find anything you want, regardless whether base or S model

I finally bought a 2002 boxster 3.2 s for $17000 even. It has 64000 miles .
The new old stock 2018 on market here $143000 and 2019 for $228000 .
The price seems fair to me and its time to get my books greasy as recommended by the author.
