Question Bought A Boxster, Dang It

I just bought my first Boxster which has been neglected. I have fixed several issues, but I have an issue with the passenger window that has me stumped. The window goes down too far and i don't know how to index the down side of the window. it drops below the trim on the top of the door and has to be guided back in to place, once in place it operates fine.

Can some one help PLEASE

Sounds like something is wrong with the regulator. It should never go down that far.
