New 986 owner in CT.

Hello all. Sorry the pic is in the garage but I was so excited I was able to shove all my crap far enough to the sides for it to fit I thought I'd leave it there for a bit. It's a 97, hand me down from my old man (got a good deal) so he could upgrade to the Panamera. 65k miles. I need to replace the oxygen sensors, do an oil change, and check out the shake at 80. First fun upgrade is going to be the stereo system.

Congrats on your recent acquisition, MaryG.

It looks like you have the Zenith Blue exterior with the grey interior. Be advised that Connecticut has a front license plate requirement, so if you plan on driving your Boxster a lot, mounting your front plate will save you hassles with law enforcement. I just got back from CT two weeks ago, and as always, the LEOs are all over the place.

Where in CT are you located? There are some recommended shops in the state that forum members can steer you to.

Just sayin'.........

Thanks guys. TeamOxford the car is still registered in North Carolina so I don't have to deal with the two plates yet, but I think I might need a bracket.

I could never remember the color so I just called it purple, drove my dad crazy haha.

If your Boxster is indeed purple, then it is the rare Viola Metallic, which was a $3000.00 option back in 1997.

If you post pics of your VIN number, located inside your driver's door, and the white sticker at the inside top of your front trunk, we will be able to tell you more about your Boxster.

As far as your front end vibration, you may want to check the condition of your tires.

No way my dad would pay 3k for a paint job. I looked at the other color and it's gorgeous, but mine has to be the Zenith Blue.
