    Hi Dave

I don't really know about putting in door speakers as I have not done that.
From what I remember from reading threads, you have get door cards with the bulge for the speakers, get the speaker enclosures and probably the hardest part is adding wires to the door harness.

I also had just dash speakers and added the rear speakers in my shelf. That and changing out the factory dash speakers to infinity ones made a HUGE difference. You can easily hear the stereo, even with the top down. I have just the basic radio, no amp

Personally I would not bother with the door speakers. I am looking at adding a subwoofer under the passenger seat which I think will enhance the sound. It really is pertty good right now with just dash and rear speakers

    Hope that is helpfull

Hi Jay - Happy New Year. I have a general question and I hope that you don't mind helping me....again! MY 02 came with the very base radio - CDR220 and only dash speakers. I'd like to upgrade by adding the door speakers and the rear package shelf system. Currently on the Forum there are two fellas selling complete systems including amp and subwoofer for about $300, which seems reasonable. One seller will include the pigtails for the amp and radio head connections. Here is my question: how difficult is it to install all of this? I am reasonably adept, but am I getting in over my head? Your comments, advice, and overall counsel are always appreciated Jay. Thanks.

Hello JayG - Hope you don't mind a question on brake pads. I seem to recall your recommending Power Stop and Red Stuff. Do you have a preference? I have an 02 Boxster that is not tracked - driven about 3k/year max. Want good pads, dust free - I think they should be ceramic? Comments/advice welcomed!
