And i have a Boxter thats 2 vises one will have to go. Resently i have had trouble with the car running ruff wrote in and with all your help narrowed it down to the mas. mostly cause it was cheap and i could clean it myself. So after exposing the motor finding and removing, cleaning i thought i might as well check air filter so i did, well at the bottom of the snorkel or whatever it's called i see cig butts hmmmm they are being sucked up as i have throwing them out the window .. Add this to the list of causes of running poorly
So after reading all day about the horror stories with the bearing failure am i to assume that if my 2000 s rattles at start up there is a pretty good chance im going to have issues with the cam gear and bearing? What if anything can be done before this distroys the motor? Bought with 19,000 miles has 24,000
