THanks all for your suggestions on how to approach this - especially Charles Gordon! It worked! I hired a lawyer and was lucky enough to go before a very cool magistrate and a sympathetic State Police Trooper. 86 in a 65, and the magistrate actually told me he could understand that in such a nice car it was difficult to feel the speed and that the car could easily handle the conditions - but that the law is the law, and if I ever appeared before him again he would throw the book at me - very fair and nice I thought!!!
