Do you know which chain guide components you are going to be replacing? I started hearing chain noise a couple of months ago and stopped driving the car. I decided I wanted a lift to make the job easier since there was a high probability I would be pulling the engine, and I see myself using it hopefully for many years in the future. My cam deviations on bank 2 are off a bit more than 9 degrees. My hope is to replace the actuator guides and not have to split the block. But I figure I'm going to learn a lot once I get the process started. I get back from vacation this week, there was some delays on the lift I ordered because it was a brand new model from Stratus but I think it should be in my garage in the next week and a half and I'm going to get started.

Do you know how far deep your project's going? Are you attempting with the engine in and are you only doing the actuator guides or tearing everything apart?
