help desnorkal

Hello,
I cannot remove the outside grille cover at all. I removed the one screw, and the thing wont pop off. I heard to press the individual black grille pieces and push them out?

any help?

Put your hand on the shroud (not grill) and carefully, but firmly, push the shroud up and to the rear. This will free the lower front corner as it has a small lip that catches on the body panel. While pushing the shroud up and to the rear, use your fingers or something plastic to get under the lower front lip of the shroud and pull it out about 1/2 - 1 inch. The entire shroud should be getting loose. Work the grill out by pushing it back while working the shroud out.

Note: there are 4 little snaps that hold the grill to the shroud. You need to free these snaps once the shroud is loose. The shroud and grill won't come out together. Once it's all out, you'll see what holds it together and why it's such a pita!

1) get shroud loose from body.
2) release grill from shroud.
3) shroud pulls straight out, sans grill.
4) grill is released from retaining clips.

Note that when reinstalling, the grill should be attached to the shroud first, then the entire unit reinserted as a whole.
