Passenger window grabs the rubber

And seeing as how I have no work to do today, but am stuck at work, I should take advantage.

My drivers window grabs the bottom rubber about 80% of the time and slows it down a lot. Seems like it is putting extra strain on the drive motor so I try to help it, without helping it too much which I think would also cause strain on the window motor. Any tricks to ease this or should I just carry around a can of non-stick Pam with me?

wash your windows always, keep the glass fresh and clean so it ca go down no problem,, same thing happens to my box so i keep the windows clean with microfiber and water maybe.. if ur nxt to pine trees ur windows will get alot of sap mist that catches the rubber..

Only took a year and a half-ish to figure this one out.

I was rolling the window down the other day and I noticed that when it was almost down, it moved in. By in I mean towards me while sitting in the vehicle. A couple of minutes checking the door panel revealed that the door panel is not installed correctly. So it is pushing the window against the rubber lip causing it to grab when I'm lowering it.

Does this panel have those stupid plastic clip thing pieces that break all the time when you take them off like all my other POS cars had?

If you're careful, the plastic clips will pop off the door panel without breaking. Use two flathead screwdrivers (one on both sides of the clip) to pry it off helps a lot.

Autozone sells a trim removal kit for $15ish that is AWESOME for removing the door panel (and lots of other stuff). Griots sells the same kit plus a couple more tools for $24ish. I've managed to pull my door panel off twice now without killing any of the little plastic grommet thingys.

From experience....way better than the screwdriver method.

I try to keep the inside AND outside clean and RAIN X'ed.

Drag against the rubber is nill.The rubber seals are not stressed with RAIN X help.
