glass window top install

To those that have installed a new glass window top, does the new top only use the front channel and not the rear channel as the old top does for attaching the top? My new top only has the front chanel sewn in.

Answered my own question by reading Mike Focke's installation instructions. The glass tops drop the rear channel so the glass can move up the frame when opening the top.
