The dirt-cheap ones I bought at Sunset are either GT3 or 997 units. They were $3.57 each and the part numbers are 997-341-483-92 and 997-341-484-92. Definitely not GT2 units, just adding the part numbers to add to the confusement!

I don't think GT2 ones will fit the 986 without modification, they are huge.

These are not yuge!
Sorry, couldn't resist.
I guess they are the GT3 model? Anyway, a bit bigger than stock: can't hurt.

I got the GT3 air ducts after having experienced boiling brake fluid on a track last year. Needless to say, I replaced the fluid as well (with ATE Typ 200). No issues since.

This season I've replaced the rotors with drilled ones (couldn't find slotted) and the pads with Brembo HP2000. Of course fresh fluid as well.

Just bring up an old post, but where did you get your pricing from? I just bought a set of the 997.341.483.92/484.92 off eBay for $19. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Porsche-GT3-Brake-Cooling-Duct-Set-Carrera-Boxster-Cayman-1997-2012-/323005698134?oid=142834712144.
