They're not meant to only "look" nice actually, thats not the main idea behind changing a steering wheel! They are twice heavier and thicker, and they are smaller in diameter (bye bye school bus porsche wheel!). I bet you've never driven one of those for saying this
It's day and night buddy
Ask yourself how many minutes/hours you drive or race your car... now those should match the exact same time your hands are on your steering wheel. Lastly, picture yourself holding to a real "high quality & sporty" steering wheel all of that time
